The Sr. Practice Management Strategist – Practice Desktop is responsible for evolving the practice desktop strategy, including integration of cross-firm capabilities that support design, delivery, learning, change management, and adoption. The Sr. Strategist partners with internal stakeholders & branch teams to design processes, experiences, & solutions that align with branch growth & productivity, which includes and is not limited to supporting knowledge powered ambitions, scaling practice desktop capabilities, and evolving branch business planning solutions to support the firm’s strategic ambitions. This is a business strategy role inclusive of digital and non-digital capabilities. The Senior Strategist leads the most complex and overarching topics and informally develops and leads others. This role will be responsible for engaging key stakeholders across business segments and functional areas to understand their needs and priorities. This role will own and steward the Practice Desktop roadmap, ensuring it aligns with business goals and funding strategies. Additionally, this role will require strong communication as they will be responsible for communicating the overall strategy, fostering alignment and securing buy-in from both internal and external stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships across the firm and serve as a key communicator of strategic plans and vision, ensuring alignment and engagement at all levels.
- Develops and evolves the strategy and roadmap for Practice Desktop software, systems, and tools related to branch tools and branch business planning, such as Salesforce or other similar platforms/products
- Exhibits deep systems thinking by understanding measures/insights/workflows across branch systems, recognizing the interconnections and interdependencies within those systems to provide proactive thought leadership and form perspectives on ways to drive for solutions that maximize branch impact and experience
- Creates strategic processes and frameworks to drive alignment and prioritization, making reasonable assumptions and tradeoffs as needed, in order to drive towards successful business outcomes. Delivers creative solutions to complex challenges that may be undefined, while navigating ambiguity and operating autonomously to make progress
- Displays strong analytical capabilities to infer, interpret, and apply data to build strategy and recommendations. Partners with key stakeholders such as Firm Analytics to enhance and build new Practice Desktop insights and features that enable branch teams to turn insights into action
- Builds process maps to clearly articulate current state/future state branch and home office experiences, partnering with branch teams and key stakeholders to obtain feedback and embed perspectives to define the ideal experience, inclusive of digital and non-digital solutions
- Partners and aligns with cross-functional teams (Firm Analytics, Branch Development Data & Insights, Digital Product Management, Experience COE, Practice Management, Market Management, Wealth Management, Field Change & Enablement, Legal/Compliance, Enterprise Learning, among others) to execute strategies in support of prioritized business outcomes
- Demonstrates subject matter expertise (SME) in Salesforce & Branch Business Planning topics, connecting across Practice Management and the firm to support branch teams with change, adoption, upskilling, and support

Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced degree preferred
- Minimum Experience: 6 plus years in technology, analytical, business strategy, or product management roles
- Series 7 and 66 required within 12 months of hire
- Experience leading high-impact, complex initiatives autonomously to solve non-routine challenges
- Analytical thinking with ability to problem solve using data and insights
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities
- Drives effective, cross-functional collaboration and thought leadership via matrixed ways of working to deliver results
- Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence peers and deliver presentations
- Demonstrable systems thinking, critical thinking, and strategic thinking skills
**Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
Current INTERNAL home-based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home-based status. Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home-based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work.
