Our Legal Division is expanding to enhance solutions for millions of clients and their families. We are
looking for an experienced attorney to provide legal advice and support to leaders across the Firm
related to our investment advisory platform and programs. The work is dynamic and requires the ability
to look beyond the specific legal questions to understand the goals of the business and aid in getting to
the best solution. This opportunity will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to be a part of a

delivering solutions.
What will you do:
The individual selected for this role will enjoy the benefit of working for a well‐established
Fortune 500 firm, and will have the opportunity to be a key influencer within the Firm by using their
deep understanding of investment advisory programs and solutions to enhance the support provided by
the Legal Division.
With limited supervision, the key responsibilities of the Associate General Counsel III, Investment
Advisory Attorney are:
- Provide legal, strategic and tactical support to the Firm’s investment advisory programs and
interpret applicable federal laws and regulations that govern such programs, and interpret,
maintain and enhance the contractual agreements that govern such programs and disclosures.
- Understand and apply the requirements of Form ADV (Part I, II and III) for maintaining the Firm’s
Form ADV, including the annual updating process and interim updates as necessary.
- Provide strategic thought and legal leadership to support and advise the Firm and its affiliates
on a wide range of matters pertaining to the development of investment advisory programs.
- Develop and implement solutions to eliminate, manage and mitigate risk to the Firm.
- Analyze and resolve complex legal matters and recommend changes to organizational policies
and procedures.
- Apply sound judgment, decision making, and conflict resolution skills and successfully partner
with associates across the Firm and Legal Division to deliver results and move important work
through the organization.
- Employ excellent communication (oral and written), presentation and interpersonal skills to
convey complex issues to legal and non‐legal professionals at all levels, including senior leaders,
to support the successful execution of investment advisory initiatives at the Firm.
- Interact with outside counsel to identify, evaluate and resolve complex or unique legal questions
and issues.

Skills/Requirements
Position Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate and licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri or other state
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive professional responsibility and experience in relevant
practice areas
- Experience working in private practice representing broker‐dealers and registered investment
advisors, or in‐house counsel for a registered investment advisor
- Superior legal knowledge, judgment, work ethic and integrity, and a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience working with SEC and FINRA preferred
- Experience with alternative investments preferred
- Technological aptitude and ability to learn new technologies
