As a Branch Compensation Support Specialist, you’ll serve as a trusted resource for branch associates, helping them understand the key components of their compensation and financial performance. Through phone and written support, you’ll provide guidance on topics such as commissions, profitability, bonuses, payroll, expenses, and compensation-related processes.
This role is ideal for a service-minded professional who enjoys solving complex problems, building relationships, and delivering exceptional support. You’ll partner directly with branch teams across the firm, using your expertise to provide clear answers, identify solutions, and help associates navigate important financial and compensation questions with confidence.
What You Will Do:
- Responsible as a phone service representative, spending a great deal of time answering phone calls
- Answer incoming requests related to branch expenses to include Financial Advisor compensation
- Working independently with branch associates to solve problems
- Work in partnership with team members to provide support as needed
- Provide branch associates with information, friendly support and reliable solutions
- Respond to branch associates while meeting call- quality and efficiency expectations.
- Understand industry laws and regulations
- Participate in monthly department meetings and periodic training session
- Exhibits mastery of knowledge of all topics supported by the department to research questions which are detailed and complex.
- May represent department in projects and stakeholder roles and works collaboratively with other areas.
- Assists leader in managing workflow and can act in a leadership capacity in the absence of a leader
- Acts as a mentor/coach through assist line, escalations and/or department training as needed
Skills/Requirements
- 3+ years of customer service experience, with a proven ability to deliver exceptional support and build strong relationships.
- Knowledge of budgeting, finance, accounting, or compensation-related processes; bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Strong organizational, workflow management, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and research skills with the ability to identify solutions and resolve issues independently.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and collaborate with others while contributing to a positive, team-oriented culture.
