The Field Supervision Department plays a critical role in achieving the Compliance Division’s purpose of promoting our client’s best interests and decisions by partnering to strengthen our culture of compliance and enable the best experience for all. The Advanced Branch Field Supervision (ABFS) group provides a multi-functional approach to supervise the firm’s highest producing branch teams. An ABFS FSD will serve as the branch manager for approximately 40-50 branch teams; each with greater than $2.25M in annual revenues.
ABFS FSDs will perform the supervisory functions of the primary, advisory, and rollover groups. They will coordinate with other dedicated supervisors and support staff in specialized groups such as annuity supervision, insurance supervision, and compliance service.
Effective ABFS FSDs will have consistently demonstrated the ability to make effective decisions, deliver the right outcomes, engage with emotional intelligence, build relationships, and be a continuous learner.
What You’ll Do:
- Develops long-standing relationships and serves as an informal leader to branch team members of the top branch teams of the firm (approximately the top 2% producers). Guides branch teams in building a successful and compliant broker dealer, fee based and rollover business.
- Decision making is evidenced in supervisory records and subject to regulatory scrutiny.
- Partner and serve as a resource to other Field Supervision Directors across the department in our supervisory efforts.
- Advance knowledge and expertise of industry regulations and firm policies.
- Consultant on firm offered products, asset allocation strategies, and investment solutions for clients, to ensure alignment with industry regulation and firm investment philosophy.
- Guide Branch Teams in building a successful and compliant business.
- Influence and lead discussions on compliance topics with Branch Teams and other stakeholders across the firm.
- Represent the firm through direct contact with clients to discuss account activity and confirm understanding of risks and benefits in relation to industry regulation and firm investment philosophy.
Skills/Requirements
- FINRA Series 7 license is required.
- FINRA Series 66 license or equivalent is required.
- FINRA Series 24 license is required.
- FINRA Series 9 & 10 (or equivalent) are required.
- Leadership, analytical, investigative, and decision-making skills are required.
- Life and Health Insurance License is required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- 6 years of industry experience or 4 years of supervisory experience, compliance oversight, or risk management.
- Demonstrated success in an FSD or Senior FSD role
Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
