Do you have experience working in collaborative agile team and supporting multiple complex business processes?
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be a part of a collaborative agile team whose end goal is to provide data to support the Canadian Business Segment through our vendor relationships.
Business Systems Analysts II provide essential support to teams by conducting detailed requirements gathering, documentation, analytics, and testing coordination. With a solid understanding of specific products, workflows, and data, they help teams evaluate and address potential risks, such as compliance and privacy concerns, for prioritized initiatives. They refine and contribute to user stories and acceptance criteria to support product delivery and assist teams in preparing for upcoming changes, ensuring solutions are well-aligned with business needs
What you will do…
• Be responsible to a Canadian Investment Management Product Manager establishing SME level system expertise and supporting multiple highly complex business processes.
• Document requirements in a clear and concise format & collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather insights.
• Serve as a liaison and individual contributor between Technology, Digital Product Management, Core Digital Services, and Canadian Business Segment to ensure alignment between business needs and vendor delivered capabilities.
• Assist in gathering basic functional and non-functional requirements & collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and prioritize requirements.
• Analyze and improve existing business processes, identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions.
• Function as a support resource for development teams by clarifying basic requirements and ensuring documentation is accessible and up to date & function as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on requirements.
• Understand the technical strategy and system integrations to identify, communicate, and track divisional dependencies for features and user stories in partnership with the Product Owner, Core Digital Services team, and vendor relationships.
• Help prepare user guides, training materials, or quick-reference documents & collaborate with project managers and technical teams to finalize deployment plans.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineering (QE) and development team to develop repeatable test strategies/testing plan based on acceptance criteria to enable successful sprint execution.
• Monitor initial system usage post-deployment, escalating issues to senior team members & monitor post-deployment performance and help identify and triage any immediate issues.
• Identify potential risks to projects and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Qualifications Required in the Job:
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Advanced knowledge of standard Business System Analyst principles and practices.
• 3-5 years experience designing and implementing functional systems and data in a structured process.
• Ability to research data definition, usage, and flow to gain expertise in existing systems.
• Ability to create new business processes and data usage to promote efficiency.
• Relationship management, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Expert troubleshooting skills to investigate resolve and escalate problems. Identifies need for technical assistance to help in problem resolution.
• Associate must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Lead other associates or project entities without authority.
• Ability to effectively communicate with enterprise leaders using verbal, written and presentations skills.
• Ability to summarize highly complex business cases, system information and concepts and clearly communicate to firm leadership.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to provide working system prototypes and scenario modeling.
• Competent in firm reporting technology platforms (JIRA, Tableau, BI tools, SQL).
Problem Solving:
• Diagram complex business processes, data flow and architecture for new systems and data.
• Create business cases to provide cost effective solutions.
• Follow data flows to interpret source of information in support of new systems and data.
• Proactively drive change to systems based on business system impact analysis.
• Serve as functional lead in technical implementation of agreed upon solutions.
• Collaborate with associates and leadership across firm.
