In this role, the Senior Product Manager – Strategic Initiatives will:
- Work closely with the Senior Product Leader and/or General Partner to develop and execute the firm’s Workplace Retirement Product strategy to ensure branch teams have quality products and the support needed to help business owners/workplace plan providers achieve their financial and business-related goals.
- Design, develop and manage innovative Workplace Retirement Products that align with firm advice and guidance in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Determine the data, insights and analysis needed to inform product strategy and development.
- Develop and refine detailed discussion documents with robust business cases for new products or enhancements to be used in the product development process, inclusive of discussions and feedback received from the Workplace Business Segment, WMAS Product Leadership, NPSC, DPM, Legal/Compliance/FSD and product partners, as appropriate.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the Workplace Retirement Product line for the firm. Includes advanced knowledge of multiple product partner products, features, benefits, pricing, etc. and their relative positioning in the marketplace.
In addition, this role will also:
- Develop and recommend risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and effectiveness of the product line while minimizing risk to clients and the firm.
- Mentor team members and assist in the ongoing development of their subject matter expertise.
Skills/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required with preferred disciplines (E.g. business, finance, economics, accounting, math, engineering, actuarial science, etc.).
Series 7, 66 required within 1 year of hire
Advanced degree or relevant industry designation(s) preferred.
MBA, CFA, CFP, CPA, CFHC, CEPA
Years of Experience:
Generally, 8+ years of relevant financial services experience, Workplace Retirement experience preferred
Functional Knowledge:
• Deep subject matter expertise in product line products
• Exceptional technical aptitude and analytical skills
• Highly collaborative
• Highly effective written, verbal and presentation skills
• Advanced proficiency with systems and tools including MS Office, Tableau and databases
***Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday***
