The Engineer IV in Digital Compliance & Legal is responsible for supporting Branch Team Operations application development, enhancement, and support. They operate within the broader compliance space ensuring activities and application development align with regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Do:
As a Java Engineer IV, you will contribute to our financial advisor and branch experiences. You will support key strategic initiatives for our North American Operations, working with key stakeholders across our Branch and Service divisions.

- Actively mentor and train other associates in their area of expertise.
- Provide direction as to the effective use of technology within the enterprise architecture.
- Provide leadership related to technical aspects of tools, methodologies, best practices and processes and standards that apply to their technical area of expertise.
- Research technical improvements and takes the initiative to communicate/implement solutions.
- Participates and represents area in cross-functional groups.
- Communicates issues and problem resolutions with all affected stakeholders, business areas and vendors.
- Research requirements to determine system feasibility, costs, benefits, or functional requirements.
- Ensure prudent use of the firm’s financial resources.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience directly related to in open Systems development skills such as Java, JEE, JSP, Spring, Spring Boot (Microservices), Rest Services, Spring JPA, REST, Kafka, JSON, JUnit, Reactjs, Node.js, IntelliJ, Eclipse, Visual Studio, Azure, JavaScript, LINUX, REACT, HTML, and XML- Including:
- Considered a subject matter expert in an I.S. discipline (business solutions, systems development, infrastructure area, planning, security) and have experience across multiple platforms in an area or multiple technologies in a layer (network, computing, operating systems, data, application infrastructure, appliances, business solutions, security, systems management).
- Ability to develop system designs within area of expertise.
- Ability to perform analysis of system requirements to determine feasibility, costs, benefits.
- Knowledge of brokerage or financial company processes.
- Knowledgeable in globalization (g11n), particularly with respect to technology design and deployment for a multi-national firm.
- Experienced in system development methodologies and technology processes.
