This leader is responsible for securing/aligning resources and matrixed teams to Market and Region needs. Leader is responsible for ensuring that Team Based ways of working are executed correctly for market teams through ongoing partnership agreements. They will also ensure that resources deployed are being executed at an agreed upon level, we are getting the return on investment for key strategies deployed, and that we can effectively re-deploy resources as needed. This leader will partner with Market Leaders and Division Leaders across the field leadership structure to identify business needs, then works directly with key home office stakeholders to prioritize and deploy strategies and resources to achieve market outcomes. This leader will also work with key home office Functional Leaders to plan for their annual budgeting and resourcing requirements for their functional area to enable responsiveness to Market needs. This includes ensuring that we have allocated resources in partnership with Market opportunity and secured needed support in alignment with 3-year plan and functional capabilities. This leader will apply a deep understanding of our market segmentation framework and business unit outcomes when developing shared objectives and measures with our key stakeholders. This role includes clearing systemic constraints and policies across the organization to enable market outcomes, creating, and maintaining partnership agreements with Stakeholders, and working with the Division Leaders to advise them on strategies and resources to achieve market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage primary customer (Market and Divison Leaders) to understand their needs and priorities. Collate needs, understand trends, and present these needs to functions in a manner that is clear and actionable.
- Work with functional teams to match resource supply with prioritized market demand, working within resource constraints to make tradeoffs, challenging constraints or policies as appropriate to achieve business outcomes.
- Conduct business planning and progress review meetings to determine intra-year adjustments for allocated resources.
- Partner with multiple Business Leaders across function to identify impact, measures and track progress towards sustainable outcomes.
- Ensure the Market teams can easily access and understand what “on the shelf” strategies exist to achieve their business objectives. Strategy Suite will reflect how each function is able to deliver value to Market Teams.
- End to end ownership, overseeing resource requests through prioritization, functional alignment, allocation, to execution and managing feedback loop throughout the process.
- Create and maintain feedback mechanisms to share insights, raise concerns and suggest improvements.
- Design and implement cross training between Markets and functions to cultivate a shared understanding of each other’s roles and expertise to enable improved execution.
- Analyze and gather information for informed decision making (i.e. trade-offs), including go/no-go decisions, and prep of all executive materials related to recommendations or long term planning needs.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
- 6+ years experience
- Strong knowledge of the Firm, industry, and competitors’ business practices and processes
- Strong ability to establish and leverage connections and partnerships with key stakeholder across the Firm
- Strong knowledge of change leadership, systems thinking, and integration
- Strong people leadership and the ability to develop others for enhanced contributions
- Strong understanding and demonstrated leadership in root cause analysis and constraint removal
- Strong understanding and demonstrated leadership in financial/market analysis

- Negotiation – The process of using a range of communication skills, persuasion and strategizing intended to resolve an issue in a way that both parties find acceptable.

- Business Partnering – The process of acting as a trusted advisor and building strong relationships with colleagues and the business to drive business performance.
**Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
