The Senior Strategic Advisor, Digital Enabling Services serves as a trusted strategic advisor and thought partner to senior business leaders across the enterprise. This role
co-leads the development, prioritization, and execution of high-impact initiatives across shared services, driving enterprise-wide transformation by aligning digital enablement
strategies with organizational goals. Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Enabling Services, the Senior Advisor operates in a highly matrixed environment, excelling at
stakeholder engagement, influence with authority, and translating strategic needs into actionable digital enablement opportunities
What You’ll Do:
- Champion Strategic Alignment and Execution: Co-lead the development, prioritization, and execution of high-impact initiatives across shared services, ensuring alignment of digital enablement strategies with organizational goals.
- Facilitate Executive Engagement and Influence: Lead high-stakes, executive-level dialogues to uncover strategic needs, foster alignment, and accelerate service innovation through trust-based influence.
- Represent and Advocate at Governance Forums: Act as the voice of Digital Enabling Services in enterprise governance bodies, steering committees, and service design forums, ensuring initiatives align with business priorities and operational realities.
- Provide Expert Advisory Across Enterprise Programs: Serve as a senior subject matter expert in enterprise-wide programs such as ERP modernization and workforce transformation, offering critical insights to ensure enabling services are future-ready
- Align Digital Enablement with Business Strategy: Advise functional executives and their leadership teams on aligning digital capabilities with evolving business needs, translating strategic vision into actionable roadmaps.
- Orchestrate Service Modernization and Change Readiness: Partner with cross-functional and IT teams to co-create modernization strategies that are scoped effectively, aligned with business imperatives, and delivered with a focus on change management and adoption.
- Drive Strategic Decision-Making: Frame complex challenges, synthesize diverse perspectives, and propose actionable pathways forward, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of critical issues.
- Proactively Identify and Resolve Barriers: Anticipate emerging risks and operational friction, acting swiftly to resolve issues at the working level to maintain progress without overburdening senior leadership.
Skills/Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in related field
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred
- Understanding of digital transformation principles, including agile delivery, service design, experience management, and operational excellence.
- Detailed understanding of firm processes, governance, and strategic imperatives
- Familiarity with governance, compliance, and data security standards in enterprise environments.
- High level understanding of digital products and execution
- Understanding of how business decisions impact multiple functions
Current INTERNAL home-based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home-based status. Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home-based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work.
