An exciting opportunity within Branch Investment Management (BIM) for a Digital Product Owner to deliver our next generation of investment management digital experiences and capabilities to our branch teams.
The ideal candidate will have Investment Management knowledge with deep understanding of portfolio analysis and portfolio construction concepts as well as our tools such as Portfolio, Portfolio Rebalancer, and Web Order Entry. Agile experience is a plus.
The primary focus will be a leading multi-discipline team to deliver the next generation of our Investment Management digital capabilities. Operating at the intersection of business strategy and technology development, the Digital Product Management teams provide a dynamic, collaborative, and fast-paced environment. In either role, you will be challenged to bring fresh perspectives that allow us to continually exceed client expectations in an ever-evolving landscape.
What You’ll Do:
- The Product Owner serves as the individual accountable for one system, or subcomponents of low to medium complex product structures. They are responsible for providing thought leadership and driving a functional product team to deliver value to internal and external customers of the Firm.
- The role is accountable for the respective product’s branch/client experience that necessitates a systems thinking approach.
- In collaboration with the Sr Product Owner/Product Manger, this individual aligns strategy to execution through the development and maintenance of their product roadmap, outlining the body of work expected now, next, and into the future.
- This work includes management of system plans and supporting artifacts encompassing resource requirements, stakeholder solution requirements, dependencies, timelines, milestones, and success criteria as necessary to deliver on the promised business value.
- This individual additionally serves as the primary contact for issues and escalations related to their supported systems, providing as timely resolution as possible.
- This individual will additionally interact and align with adjacent product teams to ensure a consistent and cohesive progression of the department strategy.
- This role will collaborate with the Sr Product Owner/Product Manager to maintain and prioritize the product backlog. Assist in writing well defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure that the backlog is refined and ready for sprint planning.
- This role will collaborate with QE resources to define acceptance criteria and ensure that the delivered product meets quality standards.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience within product ownership or product management

**Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
Current INTERNAL home-based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home-based status. Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home-based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work.
