The Compensation Operations function is responsible for processing and payment of associate compensation with a commitment to financial integrity, operational excellence, and robust governance. This role will work in collaboration with the Branch Compensation Leader to ensure team responsibilities, both recurring and ad hoc, are completed timely and accurately.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Oversee distribution, assignment, and completion of daily, short-term, and long-term responsibilities and projects required to execute and maintain incentive compensation programs.
- Provide review and sign-off of multiple team processes on a monthly basis to help ensure complete and accurate execution of the team’s responsibilities.
- Collaborate with business partners across the firm to resolve complex issues and inquiries related to day-to-day team processing responsibilities.
- Manage team projects, ensuring required outcomes are implemented timely while coordinating with key business partners.
- Maintain incentive compensation policies and compensation agreements. Lead for all complex service escalations.
- Gather, analyze, and summarize appropriate recommendations to solve operational issues, including system processing issues. Coordinate resolution in partnership with team, impacted stakeholders, and digital product areas.
Skills/Requirements
What you’ll need…
- Bachelor degree and preferred Advanced Degree or Certification in related field
- 6 to 10 years of related work experience in payroll or finance
- Intermediate / advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
What will make you stand out..
- Understanding of PeopleSoft is a plus.
- Strong supervisory skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects / people at the same time
- Strong collaboration, problem solving, decision making, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to effectively communicate, informally lead others, and manage relationships with a broad group of stakeholders
**Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
Current home-based associates please note: Even as a hybrid posted role you are eligible to apply and, if selected, may retain your home-based status. However future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work and some roles may carry a preference for hybrid presence.
