The Fixed Income Trading Digital Product Management team provide the systems, tools and support for Bond and Unit Trust inventory management and execution of Fixed Income trades. As the Business Systems Analyst II, you will work in partnership with the Fixed Income Product Owner to understand the needs of business strategy leaders and users; serving as the product subject matter expert (SME) resource for the development team to help make informed decisions on how best to maintain, enhance or integrate firm systems and data.
What You’ll Do:
- Create and refine user stories with little to no coaching from peer BA’s and/or the Fixed Income Product Owner based on features that are sometimes not well-defined.
- Understand the technical strategy and system integrations to identify, communicate, and track divisional dependencies for features and user stories in partnership with the Fixed Income Product Owner and development team.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) and development team to develop repeatable test strategies/testing plan based on acceptance criteria to enable successful sprint execution.
- Support the delivery of incremental and continuous value to the end users and ensures the final implementation of features and capabilities delivers the expected user value.
- Assist the Product Owners, Product Manager, and stakeholders to define minimum viable products (MVPs) and establish iterative plans for delivering value to target audiences using epics and features.
- Investigate and troubleshoot production issues using elementary and some advanced tools and techniques; work with the users to resolve the issue or escalate issues when needed.
- Participate in and understand how to facilitate Agile and Product Management team events such as backlog refinements, retrospectives, solution demos, and system demos.
- Continue to develop understanding of firm priorities, processes, and guidelines as we continue to move through transitional change across the organization.
- Mentor less experienced members of the team.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience designing and implementing functional systems and data in a structured process, including:
- Experience with Agile and/or Product Management concepts (such as user story writing, Agile events, and backlog refinement).
- Troubleshooting skills to investigate, resolve and escalate problems. Identifies need for technical assistance to help in problem resolution.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to provide working system prototypes and scenario modeling.
What Could Set You Apart:
- Experience with Agile product management tools such as Jira and Aha!.
- Experience with data extraction and BI tools (SQL, Oracle Reporting Studio, Tableau, Power BI.
***Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday***
