The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a senior Agile delivery leader who supports the Finance and Associate Enablement Portfolio by guiding and enabling the Agile Release Train to operate effectively using Lean‑Agile principles, standards, and best practices. Operating as a chief Scrum Master, the RTE provides facilitation, coaching, and alignment across teams and stakeholders to improve flow, predictability, and execution outcomes. The RTE is a master facilitator of product‑level events, including Program Increment (PI) Planning, Inspect & Adapt workshops, and Scrum of Scrums. - Manage and optimize value flow across the Agile Release Train using Kanban systems, metrics, and information radiators.
- Foster PI readiness by aligning vision, roadmaps, backlogs, and objectives with Product Management and stakeholders.
- Champion Lean‑Agile mindsets, operating within Lean Budgets, balancing capacity, risk, and delivery outcomes.
- Serve as a servant leader and primary escalation point for Scrum Masters, mentoring and elevating team performance.
- Identify, manage, and escalate risks, dependencies, and impediments; support resourcing decisions to address bottlenecks.
- Leverage data, analytics, and AI‑enabled tools to improve flow, predict delivery risks, and drive transparency.
- Collaborate across teams, leaders, and other RTEs to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution of features and capabilities.
