Team Overview
The Team Leader, Practice Advisory Consulting leads and develops a high-performing team responsible for delivering scalable, high-impact consulting support to financial advisors. This role helps advisors grow and optimize their businesses across strategy, structure, and operations—extending field capacity and strengthening enterprise outcomes.
This is a highly visible leadership role where you will shape advisor success, influence strategic initiatives, and build team capabilities. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to evolving consulting models that drive measurable advisor impact. Success in this role creates opportunities for advancement into broader leadership or enterprise strategy roles.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of practice advisory consultants to deliver high-quality, scalable consulting support
- Drive advisor impact across core areas including business valuation, growth strategy, practice structure, and operational effectiveness
- Establish clear performance expectations, monitor outcomes, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Partner with field leaders and enterprise stakeholders to align priorities and deliver coordinated advisor support
- Translate enterprise initiatives into practical tools, frameworks, and guidance for advisor engagement
- Ensure consistency and quality across consulting engagements, deliverables, and advisor experiences
- Leverage data and insights to improve team performance, scalability, and advisor outcomes
- Support advisors in navigating key transitions (e.g., succession, ownership changes, growth planning) with confidence
Skills/Requirements
What Experience You’ll Need
- 6+ years of leadership experience in wealth management, financial advisory, consulting, or a related field
- Prior people leadership experience or demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop others
- Strong business consulting, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Foundational knowledge of practice economics, business operations, or growth strategy
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders
- Experience in practice management consulting or advising financial professionals
- Series 7 and 66 Securities Licenses
What Could Set You Apart
- Knowledge of business valuation, succession planning, or ownership structures
- Exposure to human capital strategy or organizational design within professional services
- Experience working in a matrixed or highly collaborative environment
- Advanced business, finance, or related degree/certification (e.g., MBA, CFP, CFA)
