Responsibility Summary :
1. Performs as a subject matter expert in their area of technical expertise, applies advanced technical knowledge and acts in an advisory capacity to leaders, associates, and branches.
2. Recommends efficiency and productivity improvements by demonstrating a mastery of knowledge, documents and analyzes the risk and benefits of proposed enhancements.
3. Partners with leadership as SME on business process improvement and contact reduction efforts, with additional responsibility for the execution of department related initiatives and firm projects.
4. Periodically, supports branch-office teams and/or clients in response to incoming telephone calls and written correspondence by independently solving problems and providing easy access to information, professional and courteous support, as well as reliable solutions.
5. Collaborates with leaders to ensure department training and advanced knowledge is accurate and applied within the department.
6. Acts as a top performer and assists the team/department in daily escalations, while contributing to department objectives and initiatives.
Skills/Requirements
- 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred. A diverse background across numerous areas of the Service Division recommended.
- Insurance and Annuity Knowledge required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to respond and adapt to callers and peers with appropriate tone, organized thoughts, and confidence
- Ability to respond to written correspondence in a clear, succinct manner using correct grammar, spelling and format.
- Organizational skill and time management skills
- Project management, relationship management, and analytical skills
- Must be able to multi-task and follow-up appropriately to take issues to resolution
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and quickly learn and apply new information to adapt to a changing business environment
- Proficiency in procedures and systems used by the department(s) with whom Service has a dependency is preferred.
- Strong computer skills are required, including effective use of Microsoft Office applications and Internet Explorer. The position requires knowledge of applicable Edward Jones systems and software. Must be able to learn and apply technical information relevant to the job.
