In the Practice Growth division, we innovate, develop, evolve, and manage integrated advice, planning, products, and services, leveraging deep understanding of client and branch team needs. The Field Consulting team is comprised of financial planning subject matter experts, solely dedicated to providing continuous and ongoing training, coaching, consultation, and acumen-building to Branch Teams on the “what” and “how” of delivering the Edward Jones financial planning experience to clients. This team’s primary responsibility will be to package, align, and communicate the firm’s financial planning strategy to activate and accelerate the full and evolving Edward Jones Client Team to “Deliver Experiences” to tens of millions of clients and their families.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the firm’s transformation efforts to help branch teams AND home office evolve from delivering Goals-based Advice (GBA) to Financial Planning
- Implement and ensure the effectiveness of GBA / Financial Planning communication and training programs in alignment with firm advice and guidance and in the context of a sound learning strategy
- Serve as subject matter expert in co-creating the strategy and development of face-to-face, virtual, on-line and other modes of training for branch teams AND home office branch support areas on the “what” and the “how” of GBA / Financial Planning (including, IAP, Banking Solutions, Protection, EJTC, MoneyGuide Pro, Salesforce, Voice of the client, and other firm priorities)
- This role will particularly focus on Banking Solutions as part of Financial Planning
- Partner with home office support areas (Market Management, Practice Growth, P&D, Compliance, Enterprise Learning, Service, etc.) to skill up associates and leaders to provide consistent, acumen-building, support and coaching to branch teams on the “what” and “how” of delivering GBA / Financial Planning to clients
- Proactively build relationships with FAs and CSTs to serve as a financial planning SME to gain branch team confidence and enable them to deliver on our client value promise. As needed, engage directly with clients as the subject matter expert alongside Financial Advisors.
- Participate, support, lead as SME on all existing and developing financial planning tools and resources (Money Guide Pro, Financial Foundation, Portfolio including Builder, Rebalancer, and Screener,)
- Participate, support, lead enterprise initiatives and or teams cross departmentally, divisionally and in the field to meet client’s evolving needs and deliver human centered complete wealth management
- Understand the current regulatory landscape and its impacts on appointment and branch team best practices, inclusive of technology
- Identify, understand, and demonstrate the ability to apply and integrate goals-based advice / Financial Planning proven practices from client and branch insights into applicable branch team best practices, including a working knowledge of branch team and client support workflow to enact/train/skill-up key stakeholders to support region teams
- Support key stakeholder projects/teams to ensure comprehensive strategies are delivered to branch teams efficiently & effectively through the training, tools, and firm policy
- Serve as a key contributor on enhancements and improvements to systems and branch workflow tools
- Ensure the communication and application of timely opportunities and risks to branch teams as they relate to the client needs, branch processes and impact on different groups of our target clients
- Uncovers issues and suggests and implements changes to procedures, processes and plans to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Actively keep abreast of the changing financial services landscape and recommend appropriate training that addresses any potential risks to the firm

Skills/Requirements
- B.A / B.S. degree required
- Series 7 and Series 66 required
- 3+ years’ experience in the financial services industry required
- Desire to pursue the CFP®, ChFC®, or CFA® designation
- Required Travel around 10%.
What Could Set You Apart:
- Knowledge of Financial Planning principals, technology, products, and solutions
- Previous experience in training, coaching, and / or consultation
- Advanced experience using MoneyGuide Elite or other similar financial planning software
- Experience working with clients as a Financial Advisor or member of a planning team
- IAP knowledge
*Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
Current INTERNAL home-based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home-based status. Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home-based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work.
